Machine-with-Operator Service

Description and Function:

This attachment basically turns a bobcat skid steer into a crane, or at least a machine with reach like an excavator. 

But a bobcat with the boom attachment will have more versatility and lift strength than would a mini-excavator in a similar size/weight class category; that due to the greater lift capacity of the skid steer.

So if you need to reach out and lift, lower and position something into place, then this is the tool to do it.  From the clevis hook at the end you can hook up chains or slings to the boom and suspend and move nearly anything.

Price:

$ 50 per day - rental rate

(additional to hourly charge for the basic bobcat that it needs to run it, with operator)

Applications & Purpose:

Primary purpose is for material handling.

Landscapers may use this with a set of chains or slings to move large rocks into position - especially where forks won't work due to a need to lift up and over something, then down.

For similar reasons general contractors, home builders, constructors at commercial sites, and so on, will make good use of this attachment when unloading delivery trucks, lowering pipes and other large objects down into a hole, moving heavy objects into position (like long posts for signs or light standards), and so on.

Compatibility:

All bobcats with modern couplers will accept pallet forks that have the universal coupler on them.

That would mean that almost all of our bobcats in the 4, 5, and 6 class will work.  (The 3-foot size could work, but its coupler is somewhat different and we would not recommend it normally.)

How much can the boom lift is almost entirely based on the lift capacity of the machine that it is attached to and how far out the boom is extended.
