Bobcat Service
Machine-with-Operator Service
Description and Function:
The concrete delivery bucket is different from a regular bobcat general-purpose bucket.
This bucket has high sides and a hydraulically operated front guillotine door which is controlled by the operator from the cab, enabling him to precisely pour the concrete in the desired places, and to do so in exactly the right amount. The bucket can carry up to ½ cubic yard (or about half a metre) of concrete at a time, and right to the precise place it is needed on your site.
So, it is far better than using a regular bobcat’s bucket – holds more, no mess and slop, and has an accurate delivery point.
And it's a lot cheaper than bringing in a concrete pumper truck for those difficult rear footings, post holes or other hard-to-reach places where you need concrete in higher volumes, quickly and efficiently. Another factor - space. Concrete pump trucks and their equipment are large and take up a lot of space. A bobcat and bucket take up almost no space at all in comparison. For for tight sites or where there is too much street traffic and very limited close parking for the pumper - custom homes, for example, a concrete bucket is your better option.
And the other option - wheelbarrows - not even a close comparison: this is much faster, safer, and can lift the concrete up to forms and places where it would be impossible for a man with a wheel barrow to do so. It is more efficient, and a cost-saver over labourious use of several men with wheelbarrows. Most importantly your pour goes faster - saves idle-charges from the concrete supplier not having to have the truck off-loading for hours. And that speed also makes for a better pour, higher quality concrete work easier and nicer finishing. And your men won't be worn out from running the concrete around the site - its a labour-saver. Focus their energies into finishing and clean-up.
Price:
$ 75 per day rental fee
(additional to hourly charge for the basic bobcat that it needs to run it, with operator)
Applications & Purpose:
Really an indispensible tool for anyone pouring concrete. Landscapers love it for filling fence and deck post holes, and other footings and concrete projects (curbs, etc.). Custom home builders use it all the time for numerous applications, from the footings to concrete for stairs and garage floors, step walls and many other applications. Commercial sites, the situations are limitless.
Compatibility:
Fully compatible with all our mid- and full-size (4, 5 or 6 foot class) skid steer with auxilliary hydraulics. Will work on 3-foot machines too, but the bucket cannot be filled as full due to the weight issue, a 3-footer will tip with too full a bucket.
All machines, either equipped with tires or tracks will work. Nearly all machines in our system are compatible with this attachment, with a few exceptions (please inquire).
Availability:
Our organization's stock on this attachment is quite limited yet, currently available from on a few branches in the GTA, but we are getting more.

The concrete bucket (or concrete delivery bucket with hydraulic door). Our models are similar to above, and may or may not have the extended chute. All have the hydraulic open/close door.
