Description and Function:
The absolutely best and cheapest way to re-sod a large lawn – is to use the Harley Rake attachment (soil conditioner) to a 5 or 6 foot bobcat, rubber tired or tracked. Doing so can easily save thousands of dollars – you eliminate the wasted time and costs involved with stripping the old sod off, loading it into dump trucks or bins for removal and disposal, then trucking in new topsoil, to be spread and leveled. This attachment does all this in one single process – and it is fast! The cost savings is incredible, and it is really an environmentally responsible way of getting the job done – all sorts of trucking of dirt back and forth completely unnecessarily. Try this attachment out on our next sod job - you won't believe how amazing it really is!

If the area to be prepared for sod (or seed) is sufficiently large enough, this is an incredibily good deal - it will save you so much money! This is really such a remarkable tool! It tills up existing soil to the consistency of newly screened topsoil from the garden center, levels and grades all in the same motion, pulls out any rocks or debris - saving so much time and money (in haulage costs (stripping off old sod/soil and trucking it away) and purchasing, trucking in and spreading new topsoil) that it will save literally hundreds of dollars, or more - thousands perhaps, depending on the size of the project - every time you rent and use it! And that saving is after you have factored in the cost of renting the attachment.
Applications & Purpose:
Anytime you have old ground to be prepared for sod, seeding or garden bedding. Eliminates the need for haulage of the old or trucking in of new topsoil.
Practical for use on any large area to be prepared for a lawn - commercial, residential subdivisions, industrial/institutional or municipal applications (parks, playing fields), on large residential lawns, such as custom homes, estate properties, or corner lots. Not very practical on small properties usually; and to get into the back yard you need just over 6 feet of access (width).
Custom home builders, landscapers, property maintence companies, general contractors and builders of all sorts, developers of new residential subdivisions or apartments/condos, will fin this tool to be invaluable/
Compatibility:
Most any modern full size (5 or 6 foot class) skid steer with auxilliary hydraulics can run it - either a machine equipped with tires or tracks.
All of our 5 or 6 foot class bobcats or track loaders will run this attachment.
