Price:
$ 0 per day - No additional rental fee
(additional to hourly charge for the basic bobcat that it needs to run it, with operator)
Comment on Pricing:
No extra charge for the bucket - an average-sized (for the model) trenching (toothed) bucket is included automatically with all mini-excavators. You do need to stipulate your preference, however, if you want a specific sized one - particularly if it is wider or narrower than typical. Generally (but not a guarantee) by default we will supply one in the approximate size for the class, as noted here.
Applications & Purpose:
Nearly all applications and uses of a mini-excavator require at least some usage of a general-purpose trenching bucket (with teeth), for such things as digging, trenching, some levelling, etc.
Compatibility:
All mini-excavators will come with a bucket that is an average-sized unit for the class of machine. For instance, in the ultra-mini and standard mini-excavator categories, that will be approximately a 16" wide bucket, and for the next 2 size classes (the compact and maximum mini-excavator classes) the standard bucket sizes will be 20 to 24" in width. In most cases we do have other options - both narrower than the standard (such as down to 10-13" for narrow trenching), and wider - especially for the bigger machines, going up to 30" in width in some cases.
Frequently the buckets for one machine, make, model or class are not interchangeable with those of another.
If bucket size is critical to the success of your project for some reason, make sure you state that clearly when ordering.
Smooth buckets (no teeth) or other specialty buckets are somewhat rare for mini-excavators, inquire of availability of such when ordering.
Availability:
We stock a wide variety of buckets, and normally offer a selection at least two or more sizes per machine. At all branches.

An amateur video showing a standard mini-excavator digging with an average sized trenching bucket (16"), provides some idea of what to expect, at least roughly. Our own videos are in production and will be posted soon when complete.
