Bobcat Service Division
with-operator rentals, excavation services
Remember what your scope of responsibities are (almost everything), compared to what our's are (almost nothing) on your site and in relation to the work you are trying to accomplish.   That may sound a bit blunt, but we want to ensure that we make this point excedingly clear (in case it hasn't already been made so from everything else you have read elsewhere in the website about our services, our policies and so on).
The fact is that our showing up to your jobsite with the machinery you ordered and running it in as safe a manner and as expertly as possible, under your direction instructions and control, that is about all we are obligated to do in exchange for the payment of our clearly published rates.

Everything else, from start to finish is your responsiblity.
This can include (just a sample to make the point, not a complete list) planning your work (engineering), ordering machinery (incuding our machinery, and regardless if we have offered you advice or our opinion) and materials and disposal needs, the organization and order of trades and events on the site, execution of the actual dig/machine work, all matters pertaining to safety (shoring, angle/depth/shape of trench or excavated hole, signage, barracades, pedestrian and site-worker's traffic), and so on.
Should you dig? - when it comes to issues of weather - too wet, ground too frozen, too sloped or sandy for traction - and so on, are all issues for you to decide on, solely.
You must check and double check all measurements and dimensions and other aspects of the tasks you wanted to accomplish on your site and make sure all were done according to your wishes and expectations (as best as possibly could be done given the machinery used, weather and ground conditions, etc) before signing us off and advising us we are done and may leave, as once we have left we have no further obligations to you and will not return for free or at a lesser rate than the normal fees if you need us back to change or complete something there for you regardless of why it needs yet to be done.

If you are unable or unwilling to accept this responsiblity and these terms, we stongly suggest that you look elsewhere for your equipment/excavation needs (such as hiring a contractor, which inherently involves their being responsible for many of these things, but make no mistake about it - that added burden that the contractor takes on on behalf of you comes at a price, you do pay extra for it).
